While the era of Non-Contact and virtual economy is accelerating due to COVID-19, digital financial platforms and services for digital assetization and liquidity of the real economy such as NFT and Metaverse are gaining explosive attention in all industries. Meanwhile, the Korean Blockchain Association and the NFT Association gathered to hold an NFT business agreement ceremony at the Eliena Hotel in Seoul.

The event, which was held on the 15th, was attended by a large number of Korea's leading blockchain and NFT-related associations such as NFT Content Association, Busan Blockchain Industry Association, and Busan Techno Park, as well as institutional investors and financial institutions such as IDG Capital, IBK Industrial Bank, Hangang Capital, and Listing Support Center.

In particular, the Busan Blockchain Industry Association, which was established in Busan in September, and the Korea NFC Contents Association, which was established in Seoul in November, are expected to present new milestones to the Korean blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse markets connecting Busan and Seoul.

The Korea NFT Contents Association (Chairman Youngjin Kim, Chairman Hyungjoo Kim) will hold a launching ceremony at the 2021 Busan Money Show and hold an inaugural meeting and conference with more than 200 members in the contents sector, including art, album, movie, drama, and game, through NFT SEOUL 2022 at Grand InterContinental Hotel Parnas Seoul on January 19th next year.

The Busan Blockchain Industry Association (Chairman Taekyung Kim) was established with more than 10 member companies including Shinhan Bank, Busan Bank, Mirae Asset Securities, Hanwha Asset Management, Barunson and Onther participating. Various discussions are reportedly taking place with a policy forum to foster the blockchain industry and establish a digital asset exchange in Busan, a special blockchain regulatory free zone.

The signing ceremony includes the association, investment companies, and partner organizations forming a working-level council for consulting and investment support for blockchain, NFT, and Metaverse-related companies, financing of listing companies, and continuous growth support through listing of KONEX or KOSDAQ.

In addition, in order to meet the interest and demand of overseas markets for Korean art and Korean contents, related platforms and services will be expanded to the global market and digital finance and NFT funds will be created to contribute to creating a global contents ecosystem centered on Korea through active and various preemptive investments in the production market.

Bonggun Kim, vice chairman of the event and CEO of DDM(Dongdaemun Project), said, "The exclusive NFT Marketplace involving the two associations will open in the first half of 2022. and through this marketplace, it is expected that cooperation in art, popular culture, and game cooperation between Korea and China will be activated."
